When I chose my design; I was thinking about my sisters and how we all have infinity necklaces. I think it was more of a personal project because in a way my artwork showed how my sisters and I will stay together forever. "Sisters by Chance; Friends by Choice" is a quote that we all say, so I think that ties my artwork together well.
I have learned a lot from this artwork experience. I learned that you have to keep a steady hand on your artwork when you are printing. Keeping your hand still, so the colors will be matched up with the design the right way.
I loved the freedom that we had. We had only 2 simple things that were needed.
1. Use at least two colors for your printing.
2. For the ending product you will need 5 good prints to turn in. I made more than 5 prints for trial and error.
I disliked one thing about print making and that was how when I washed my linoleum off it started to curve. The curving made it hard to have the print making ink to go on the paper in all the right places. I had to rock my linoleum back and forth to have the ink go on the paper, but if I rocked it too fast the linoleum would slip and the design would be off center.
